Madison Plus is so excited to guest blog for Anna Scholz!
We thought it would be fun to show off how to mix and match using Anna’s Spring-Summer collection. These two outfits from Anna Scholz are perfect to wear on casual Fridays in the office. We used the olive jacket and the skinny jean to make two different looks by styling different accessories and shoes.
The first look is clean and professional with the skinny jeans from Anna Scholz by Svoboda paired with the structured olive green jacket and the crisp printed cotton kaftan. This olive green jacket has princess seams for a great fit and Anna’s signature leopard lining. We injected a fun note by the adding the gold woven lace up sandals and finished the look off by sprinkling in some accessories.
For look two we paired the same jacket and jeans with the crochet back Anna Scholz tank. Add a pop of colour with the coral heel. When it’s time to head out for the evening remove the jacket and you’ll be set for the night!

For a number of years now, Anna has designed a popular line of clothing and bedding for the online and catalogue retailer SimplyBe (a separate enterprise from her own label and webshop). She recently sat down and gave an interview for the SimplyBe blog.
She discusses everything from her design inspirations, to changing perceptions about plus-size, to her past experiences as a plus-size model.

We’re very pleased to have some of our current styles featured by the Saks Fifth Avenue online shop!
This is their recent e-mail newsletter that was sent out. We think their models look lovely!
Renowned South African photographer Jodi Bieber has a powerful series of photos called Real Beauty that is definitely worth checking out!
The photos depict women who live around Bieber’s own community and she encouraged all of the women she photographed to explore their own personalities and fantasies for their shots.
All women have “Real Beauty,” Bieber explains. “Real” is something we all possess just in the fact of our existence. “Real” is every woman in her own uniqueness.
This body of work was “inspired by a number of events,” describes Bieber, “the primary being my own life. My forties have brought a feeling of more comfort within my own skin than when I was younger even though my body shape has shifted dramatically.”
Each shoot was a collaboration between Bieber and her subject. The women were photographed their own homes and were encouraged “to explore their own identity in relation to beauty and to live for a couple of hours in an environment of elements of fantasy.”
No photoshop has been used. Instead the photos gave each woman the space to create a fantasy image of themselves as they are.
