Anna on the Silver Screen!

August 26, 2010 / 1 Comment

The multi-talented Jill Scott can be seen wearing an Anna Scholz dress in Why Did I Get Married Too?, the upcoming film written and directed by Tyler Perry. It’s set to hit theatres at the beginning of September and features the same charismatic cast as Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?

A still from the movie. Jill is wearing Anna's pink chrysanthemum print double silk dress.

Jill Scott plays a character named Sheila in the film which follows four couples who reunite for their annual vacation in order to socialize and to spend time analyzing their marriages. Their intimate week in the Bahamas is disrupted, however, by the arrival of Sheila’s ex-husband determined to win her back from her new husband….whew! definitely sounds like good drama!

Why Did I Get Married Too? also stars Tyler Perry and Janet Jackson. Perry is a celebrated writer, director and actor. He is loved for his recurring comedic film character, Madea, played by Perry himself in drag.

Jill Scott was born in Philadelphia and rose to fame as a powerful singer and actress. She has won three Grammy Awards and also appeared in Why Did I Get Married? She is currently working on more movie roles, voiceover in a cartoon series, launching her own bra design for the Ashely Stewart intimate apparel line, recording a fifth album and touring with The Lilith Fair. She also recently starred in HBO’s critically acclaimed The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.

We sure do love Jill Scott here at Anna Scholz. She is often photographed out and about in Anna’s designs and looks fabulous in whatever she wears.

We’ll be in the front row with our popcorn, Jill!
