R. Nack received Anna’s one-shoulder crepe jersey maxi dress from her husband for Valentine’s Day! We were all so impressed with him here at the studio, that we asked if he gives romance workshops to other husbands and partners. Alas, he does not, but his wife kindly passed along her own tips for getting your partner to buy you the gift you really, really want!

My secrets for gift-hinting so well by R. Nack:
My father taught me a lesson when I was 12: to always ask for precisely what
I want, that men cannot read between the lines. Being brought up by a male
in my teenage years with a brother, it can get kind of tough being the sole
female. Now that I’m 43 and work with a mostly male-dominated staff, his
wisdom has done me well over and over again.
So here’s the bottom line: I sign my husband up for any shopping websites where I really like the clothes. I then print off the page of the item I want and tack it to his computer monitor with a bright red arrow to it. Then I follow it up a day or two later with what I would wear with it and what HE will be wearing when he takes me out in it. I’m sure my success rate is high because of the wonderful man I married. But…he also married a woman who knows what she wants in a man as well as a DRESS! ha!
