Here’s an example of super street style exhibited by Layla, the daughter of our very own Managing Director.
Layla is rockin’ Anna’s blur print double silk frill tunic with some fantastic cowboy boots. Yee-haw! Definitely a look to copy.
Ulrike sent us this photo of her doing her “Anna at the polo game” look, as she called it.
Emma’s blog, Oh, the Places You’ll Go is chock-full of ideas, advice and her experiences as a veteran fashionista. It’s one of our favourites here at the studio.
Emma fell in love with Anna’s check print double silk cowl neck dress.
This is what I would almost classify as THE DRESS of the current collection…When I put it on, it immediately felt good and right and feminine.
… I felt lovely in the double silk fabric and it also made me feel confident and held… That may seem like a funny word, held. But what I mean, is that I felt like this dress was made specifically for me – as opposed to being made for plus-size women, generally. I felt like this dress was literally made to hold on to MY body – it feels unique and special and designed with my curves in mind. That’s amazing and it says loads about how Anna designs.
Emma also felt right at home in the stained glass print digital jersey ¾ sleeve V dress.
I adore the muddied colours and to me, it looks almost like a jewel colour painting that someone has spilled water across. … I put this on and felt sexy. Feminine. READY for the world.
Anna’s jersey material is of such a high quality, it feels soft and supple against the skin. I seriously love this fabric and I think it works so well for my (or your!!) plus sized figure.

We were thrilled to be prominently featured in a special insert included in the latest issue of Brigitte magazine, Germany’s most popular women’s magazine.
The insert is a great mini magazine focusing on plus-size fashion, featuring great dresses, underwear and style tips for women of all sizes for the autumn season. The insert also includes an interview with Anna Scholz and lots of information about better serving the women of the plus-size market fashion with all their purchasing power.
Brigitte has a policy of only using real women as models. So, as usual, it is refreshing to see real women showing us how to wear clothes with style.
The Editor-in-Chief of Brigitte, Susanne Gundlach, is even pictured wearing Anna’s black velvet jersey wrap dress from her Autumn-Winter 2011 Black Label collection.
We’ve just had an update from our sales and production manager, Darren, who is in New York City showing Anna’s Spring-Summer 2012 collection.
He’s had a little time to see the sites, shop and enjoy the city before his appointments kick in. He sent this photo of him with a super-duper lemon zinger drink at a diner called Big Daddy’s near Union Square.
And, of course, the way Darren has arranged the collection looks amazing!
We love Emma’s blog and her flair for fashion. It’s always fun to read her blog, and to see how she styles garments. It’s also interesting and informative to read her thoughts about what makes the garments work for her figure and what to wear them with.
Emma writes, Many of you are aware of the fact that Anna is my favourite high-end designer and that I love the innovative looks, prints and cuts she gives us – CONSISTENTLY with each new collection …[that she has] specifically worked at creating for our bodies.
Before Anna, I had never really worn tunics, I was unsure of how the shape would work for me, but she does this so well – I ADORE the empire line waist which is nipped in with a little line of elastic, it affords looseness but also shape – the neckline is both flattering and sexy and I love how loose the sleeves are. I could easily kick this up a gear with a thick black belt and some heavier eye makeup…
Next, Emma enjoyed modelling the Navajo feather print digital jersey T-Shirt dress and the “loving” softness of the jersey fabric.
I never wear shapes like this. I’ve mentioned before how I love structure… but I appreciate the detailing here – how a simple belt can afford me structure. … [The fabric] felt soft and lush on my skin; REALLY comfortable and as winter approaches, I can see that it would feel soft and deliciously warming under a coat, with a pair of tights and nice black heels.
We love these photographs taken of model Lauren Koenig wearing Anna’s double silk leopard print blazer. The sleek pencil skirt and chunky necklace give it a real sexy, retro vibe.
