Our friend Em, who writes the fashion blog for curvy girls called Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, stopped by the studio for a catch-up and to try on a few of her favourite pieces from Anna’s current collection.
She graciously allowed us to take her photo. We think Em’s got great curves and great style (though she wasn’t thrilled about the hiking boot, but she’d injured her foot) and thought our readers would enjoy seeing how she rocks these hot dresses. You know we’re always going on about how it’s nice to see an outfit on more than one model to get a real feel for how it looks and changes on different bodies. That’s why– when we can– we like to share photos with you of our customers and ourselves wearing Anna’s clothes.

We spend so much time at work, it’s inevitable that our style rubs off on and gets influenced by our colleagues. You know how it goes: you admire and copy a dress a co-worker wears; or you both happen upon the same website that’s having an amazing sale and decide to combine your orders to save on shipping…well, it’s certainly happend to us here at Anna Scholz.
Plus, we all have such fun wearing Anna’s great clothes that — more than once– two people have the exact same flash of outfit inspiration and …voilà! Double trouble!
We happened upon this amusing tumblr called I Like Looking Like Other People (though that title doesn’t really seem to hit the mark of this particular phenomenon) which documents cases of co-workers caught wearing the same ensembles. These photos are a hoot, because you can feel the closeness between the people and it’s funny to see all of their work environments in the backgrounds.

“Here is my friend Fiona and I ready to head out to Oaks Day, the official ladies day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival,” Nicole wrote us. “Wanted to be big bold and beautiful so teamed my amazing Anna Scholz silk dress with yellow customised accessories.”
Lucille has been a yoga instructor for years, but she decided to go more niche and to market herself as a curvy yoga instructor to curvy women. She thought it would be encouraging and less intimidating for curvy women to see a size 18 woman who is an established yogi and a bendy wonder. And it seems that curvy women are indeed responding!
Yoga is all about working on your individual strength, flexibility and focus. Being super thin or muscle-bound does not necessarily reflect how strong you are. The focus of Lucille’s instruction, the article says, “is to make you feel comfortable so that you can enjoy looking after yourself and improve your fitness in a welcoming, relaxing environment.”

“32 degrees Celsius today,” Nicole reported to us. “An amazing spring day in Melbourne for the last day of the Spring Racing Carnival. The silk was so cool, it was amazing. Loved it!”
