In the movie Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan’s character observes, “Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.”

It’s true that Halloween is a chance to vamp it up (for better or for worse). And costume companies have cashed in on this very phenomenon by offering “sexy” versions of every character under the sun– Just add a short, short skirt and bust-enhancing bodice and *poof*, you’re a sexy vampire, a sexy policewoman or a sexy ladybird.

However, some characters or ideas just weren’t ever meant to be sexy. Here are a few we’ve found that just don’t quite work as a “sexy” costume…What do you think?

Our intern Katja poked a little fun at the exacting ways of Darren, our sales and production manager.

Luckily, he saw the humour in the t-shirt she made…and then made her polish his boots… We’re hoping she’ll make one for all of us!

We just wanted to share this lovely photo of Sharon, wife of our MD Cliff, and her mum, Lily, both looking marvelous in Anna Scholz.

“I wanted to share this picture of me wearing an Anna Scholz top,” Line wrote us. “The occasion was my 30^th high school reunion party, and I wanted to look my best. Teamed my green crepe du chine pocket tunic with black jeans, jacket and Chanel bag. Felt like a million dollars, and had a night to remember!”

Singer-songwriter, performer, producer, entrepreneur, and spokes model Giselle Grayson sent us this photo of her wearing Anna’s leopard print double silk corset maxi dress. She told Anna it’s the most fabulous dress ever and she loves the way it flatters her assets!

Giselle is currently wrapping up her first industry album, Addicted.

Lisa Riley stopped by the studio this morning to pick up some pieces for various events she’s got coming up. We have all been following Lisa on the current Strictly Come Dancing competition on the telly and are thrilled by how well she’s doing. Just the other week, she became the first female competitor to lift her male partner (Robin Windsor) into the air during a performance!

She says she’s having a blast on the competition (despite the 7-hour daily training and rehearsal sessions!) and has already gone down three dress sizes.

Lisa snapped up Anna’s sexy georgette tailoring peplum dress as well a few other glamorous numbers that we hope to see photos of soon.

Amanda wrote to us, “This was taken in NYC when we went to see Chicago on Broadway. I’m in my favourite cowl neck dress– happy memories.”

“Here I am wearing my favourite poodle dress next to one of the Antony Gormley sculptures which were on display in Sam Gimignano in Tuscany when I visited last month,” Nicola wrote in to us. “Always feel glamorous in this dress even when wearing sensible sightseeing shoes and a sunhat!”

Lisa wrote to us, “This is me after a NYFW show with my niece, Carly Ellis, an upcoming new designer of colourful printed sportswear. I was – as you’d expect – representing Anna Scholz in this cowl front dress. I got lots of New York compliments!”

Judith recently crossed the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2. She sailed from New York to Southampton for seven nights, each night needing a fab outfit fit for the captain’s table!

“I loved wearing the silk maxi (corset top nipped in by the lovely staff at Emma Plus in Brighton),” Judith wrote us. “My daughter calls it my ‘goddess’ dress.”
