Debenhams Body confidence mannequins
Debenhams has taken a huge step forward in promoting body confidence on the UK high street. They’ve become the first high-street retailer to introduce size 16 mannequins to its Oxford street store.
Trailed three years ago, Debenhams has made the decision to keep the size 16 mannequins as a permanent addition to its women’s fashion department, hoping to roll it out to all 170 UK stores.
We think it’s a step in the right direction, giving the UK average dress size is now a size 16. It gives the chance for women to preview what clothes will look like on a shape or size similar to themselves.
