Birds Eye has launched a pop-up restaurant that allows customers to settle the bill by sharing a picture of their food using the tag #BirdsEyeInspirations, on social media sites such as Instagram and twitter.
The pop up restaurant, appropriately named The Picture House, will open its doors in London today before visiting Manchester and Leeds in June. Fish Chargrills and Chicken Inspirations will be two of the dinner options available at the restaurant.
Research has found that 52 per cent of us regularly take photos of our meals, uploading the pictures to our social media feeds.
Birds Eye marketing director, Margaret Jobling commented: “Taking photos of food enables people to show off and to share their mealtime moments – from the everyday to the very special. We wanted to tap into this trend and create a new reason for people to talk about and sample our newest additions to the Inspirations range.”
We all love using social media and are snap happy here at the office, so the thought of paying for lunch by taking a quick picture certainly has our attention.
