An all-female American girl group called ‘The Mrs’ recently asked woman from across the USA ‘how do you feel when you look in the mirror?’ Shocked with the answer they devised a plan to change their opinions.
Creating a ‘magic mirror’, each person was able to look at their own reflections and judge on a touch screen scale how they felt about themselves. As if by magic, band members were heard telling the person in front of the glass how beautiful they really were.
The idea was to replace the negative voice in their head with a more positive one, and invite woman to look in the mirror with love and appreciation not only for their looks, but the many other aspects of their beauty.
As the video shows some woman had a more personal message, with family member’s videos being projected through the glass, to show the woman standing in front how much she was valued and loved. The aim of this was for the person to look past how they look and to see in the reflection how brave, unselfish, how strong and generous they were, by seeing themselves through the eyes of others.
