Have a blast this Bonfire Night

Bonfire night is near and there are displays up and down the UK tomorrow, and all over the weekend for all the family and friends to enjoy.  Here are a few displays we’ve found, all across the country that’ll sure to light up the nights sky near you.

Lord Mayors fireworks – London (8th November)

The Lord Mayor’s Show has marched (and floated and trotted, and occasionally fought) through 799 years of London history, surviving the Black Death and the blitz to arrive in the 21st century as what must be the oldest, grandest and best-loved civic pageant in the world.

Midsummer Common, Cambridge (5th November)

A bonfire will be lit immediately after the fireworks display which starts 7.30pm at Midsummer Common. The Thurston Fun Fair will be open all evening. There is also a fire show between 6.45 and7.20pm by Phoenix Performance.

Fireworks at the Fort, Segedunum, North Tyneside (5th November)

Bring along your friends and family to one of the largest FREE firework displays in the North East.  As well as the firework extravaganza, why not explore the museum exhibits or have a bit to eat in the cafe before selecting the best spot outside to watch the display.

The Big Band Fireworks – Porthcawl Wales (5th November)

Watch a  fabulous colourful display of fireworks at the Hi Tide Inn, Porthcawl. There are great views of Coney Beach and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast in the background ensuring this display is anything but boring. The show is expected to start at 7pm.

Roundhay Park – Leeds Firework (5th Novemeber)

Once again in 2014, tens of thousands of people are expected to gather at Roundhay Park to enjoy Leeds’ biggest bonfire and fireworks event. Admission to the Roundhay Park bonfire and firework display is FREE, no tickets required! Bonfire – Fire lighting at 7.30 pm -Fireworks: Firework Display from 8pm

Bristol Zoo’s Family Friendly Fireworks – Bristol (4th, 5th & 6th November)

Now in its seventh year, Bristol Zoo’s Family Friendly Fireworks will be back for three evenings of great family entertainment. Beautiful, low-noise fireworks will light up Bristol Zoo on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th November 2014 adding a sparkle to Guy Fawkes Night without the loud bangs that might frighten your little ones or our animals. Gates to open at 5 pm. Display expected to start at 5:45pm

Glasgow Green Fireworks – Glasgow (5th November)

Remember remember…. that Glasgow Fireworks returns to Glasgow Green on Wednesday 5 November. As usual, the event is free and open to all. Gates open at 4pm. The fireworks display is on from 7.30pm.
