I love this song, “Make Love”, and its video! It really makes me smile. The singer is Joe Cang, a friend of my dear friend Lucille. The video was directed by Dash Lilley with Rebecca Nassauer as art director. Enjoy!

Velvet D’Amour was as outrageous and fabulous as ever on the red carpet at the recent Cannes Film Festival in France!

Velvet is a “Paris-based, American artist/photographer and international fashion, screen and dance sensation, known equally for her stunning and curvaceous beauty, as well her sophisticated discourse on the topics of beauty, tolerance and self esteem.”

Beth Ditto strutted her stuff big-time at the recent Cannes Film Festival in France.  She is so bold and fearless– a fashion inspiration to all women!

Couturier Belva Bodey recently displayed a size 24 gown in her Black Diamond Bridal shop window in downtown Port Angeles in Washington state in the U.S.

It’s not just the chapel-length train, gorgeous peau de soie fabric or Swarovski crystals that have attracted attention…the fact that the dress is plus size has pleased many passers by.

Bodey feels that larger-size gowns deserve as much ooh-ing and ahh-ing as the standard sample sizes. So she borrowed this gown– which she herself designed– from its former bride in order to display diversity.

“Everybody’s beautiful, especially brides,” Bodey told reporter Diane Urbani de la Paz from The Peninsula Daily News. “They’re starting a new life; I think that is very beautiful.”

The Chanel Resort 2010 show was held in Saint-Tropez this year.

Many were pleased with the casting of Crystal Renn, including André Leon Talley, columnist for Vogue.com. “Lagerfeld had cast the show with a slightly more curvaceous model named Crystal Renn, not seen on any Chanel catwalk before,” Talley wrote. “This in itself was groundbreaking for the house, but there was also the return of personality models encouraged to be themselves instead of robotic look-alikes.”

We agree: Crystal looks beautiful and natural.

I recently visited Emma Plus ,our lovely stockist in Brighton.

Her shop window was beautifully decked out with anna scholz dresses and posters and I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm.

During my visit lots of customers were shopping and chatting with the super friendly staff ( and one was buying one of our Purple/White Silk Maxi Dresses )

Emma is a woman with vision and a great retailer. I still remember my initial trade show in Birmingham. I was showing the collection to buyers and Emma became the first official UK stockist of annascholz.

She has placed an order every season since and continues to support us with passion and professionalism.

Thank you Emma for such a wonderful and continuous relationship.

And thanks again for looking after Frida. Pickle and her make a wonderful couple.

I remember going to Crystal Renn’s wedding a few years back, where Ashley was one of her bridesmaids. She had some poor guy in tow who was literally drooling over her all day .

She just oozes sex appeal and is fun to be with too.
