This Halloween we’ve all been driving ourselves batty to ensure our outfits and plans are terrifyingly good and cause a scare (or a case of the funny bones for some.) This A/W Anna’s Black label has had a few spooky additions.

Here are our favourite pieces and some ideas on how to make a fashionable scare this Halloween.

Shoes – Net a Porter

With Halloween just around the corner, the talk about costumes has been a continuous topic here at the office. We discovered this amazing eye make up done by blogger Tal Peleg, from Israel. Using a mix of liquid eyeliner and eye shadow pigments, Tal creates fairy tales and great novels onto tiny areas of the face. We are all amazed at how detailed and colourful her work is. We’re not sure we have steady enough hands to even attempt doing these ourselves, but we couldn’t help but share her amazing masterpieces.

Have a Sexy Halloween, Everybody!

In the movie Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan’s character observes, “Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.”

It’s true that Halloween is a chance to vamp it up (for better or for worse). And costume companies have cashed in on this very phenomenon by offering “sexy” versions of every character under the sun– Just add a short, short skirt and bust-enhancing bodice and *poof*, you’re a sexy vampire, a sexy policewoman or a sexy ladybird.

However, some characters or ideas just weren’t ever meant to be sexy. Here are a few we’ve found that just don’t quite work as a “sexy” costume…What do you think?

Bert & Ernie --this is confusing on so many levels-- and Chuckie (who is a boy!) from Child's Play

Nemo (it's a fish, people!) and a mental patient

Brian the dog from Family Guy--again, this is just confusing!

A unicorn and an Etch-A-Sketch game

the dress just says Silence of the Lambs-- how can a movie be sexy?

Jane Doe in an LBBB (that's Little Black Body Bag) and a Monopoly Game
