Last Friday, Anna had a chance to mingle with model and blogger, Tanesha Awasthi, and the navabi team. Tanesha’s blog Girl With Curves was the winner of navabi’s Best Curvy Blog Award 2012. Part of her prize package was a trip to London for London Fashion Week and to meet Anna Scholz.

Tanesha said she loved meeting Anna, one of her “curvy sheroes,” and the feeling was quite mutual. As Tanesha wrote on her blog, “the morning consisted of lots of fashion chat, browsing Anna’s Spring & Fall 2013 Collections, and of course, me finding a way to get my hands on some of the clothes!”

Awasthi started GirlWithCurves.com as a way to express her passion for fashion. But it has since turned into a mission for change by pushing the boundaries of fashion and encouraging positive body image for women of all shapes and sizes. Her blog was ranked the #2 style blog in audience interaction on facebook, with a 65% engagement rate (Fashionbi). It was ranked the #8 fashion blog on Tumblr (measured by traffic and subscriber rates). It also was ranked #59 out of the top 100 fashion sites in the world (Technorati). Awasthi has appeared on the cover of Skorch Magazine and on Forever 21 billboards.

The winner of navabi’s 2012 Curvy Blog Award is…drumroll…Tanesha Awasthi and her blog, Girl With Curves!

Numerous blogs were evalutated by the fashion team at luxury online retailer navabi, as well as by other judges, which included Anna Scholz, Fluvia Lacerda and Elisa D’Ospina.

navabi started the annual awards in order to “search for those that can offer the best styling advice for real women and those of all shapes and sizes”.

Tanesha’s passion for fashion really comes across in her Girl With Curves blog. She offers styling advice and inspiration; but she also uses her blog as an agent for change. Tanesha says that she strives to promote “positive body-image, self-esteem and body-acceptance in the curvy community. Far too long have girls with curves been left out of fashion, and made to think we can’t be fashionable. It’s time to create change, by making a statement that a girl with curves can be just as confident and stylish as anyone.”

Congratulations, Tanesha! We look forward to following Girl With Curves!

Luxury online plus-size fashion retailer navabi have organised a 2012 Curvy Blog Award to celebrate the best blog “which provides style advice for girls of all shapes and sizes, including those with curves”.

The winning blogger will receive a trip to London Fashion Week, Autumn-Winter 2013– which includes a meet-and-greet with our own Anna Scholz!– and a navabi shopping voucher. Anna is also on the competition’s voting jury alongside Vogue Curvy editor and model Elisa D’Ospina, model Fluvia Lacerda and the navabi fashion team.

The purpose of the award, according to navabi, is to “search for those that can offer the best styling advice for real women and those of all shapes and sizes”.

It is worth the rave! navabi has been stocking Anna’s collections for several seasons now, and we always love the way the models are styled on the site. The navabi online shop consistently looks slick and stylish. navabi has been stocking Anna’s collections for several seasons now, and we always love the way the models are styled on the site.

This season, navabi has a lovely online magazine full of fashion advice and inspiration for the upcoming months. The website offers up hot looks from the latest trends such as florals, pastels, outdoor looks and  “Boho Chic”. We love how they’ve presented Anna’s latest collection too. They’ve incorporated Anna’s Black Label campaign photography beautifully into their Swinging Sixties trend.
