The 87th Oscars ceremony happened last night in the USA, and if you’re anything like us you were dying to see what the stars wore on the red carpet. Known for being the biggest night of the year for red carpet dressing, we’ve picked our favourite looks that we couldn’t help but love. We loved how quirky and fun these looks were, especially J-LO’s stunning embellished Elie Saab Couture dress. Emma Stone also looked ravishing in a long-sleeve, chartreuse custom Elie Saab gown. We love the lime green colour against her bright orange lipstick. Recently announcing her pregnancy, Sophie Hunter (pictured with her husband Benedict Cumberbatch) opted for a red floor-skimming silk number by Lanvin, which was daringly done up at either side by safety pins. Margot Robbie, the breakout star of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” looked incredible in a plunging femme fatale look by Saint Laurent. And we can’t forget the males this season. Will.I.Am opted for a laid back look whilst trying to be sophisticated, for the carpet this year. Always being one step ahead, Will paired a tux jacket with a multi colour striped top, turned up trousers and smart trainers. See all of our favourite looks looks below.

We’re a little undecided here at Anna Scholz about whether the meat dress (allegedly it’s bona fide cow carcass) Lady Gaga wore to the MTV Video Music Awards last week is art or just plain offal.
I mean, we’ve heard of skirt steak but never a body con beef dress…and she managed to find a hat, shoes and bag (or should we say carrion?) to match!
After the award ceremony, Gaga said the dress was open to “many interpretations,” including- she offered- a statement about the US military’s attitude to homosexuals.
At any rate, she certainly brought home the bacon that night by snagging several VMAs.
What do you think of her outfit? Grade-A or gross?
